The North Sea Cycle Route

The North Sea Cycle Route (link) is the longest signposted international cycle route in the world, offering more than 6,000 kilometres of cycling adventure. On its way around the North Sea it passes through Holland, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Scotland and England.

The Swedish section of the North Sea Cycle Route, which is around 380 km long, follows existing cycle routes and runs from Varberg in the south to Svinesund in the north. In the southern section through Halland it combines with the Ginstleden Trail/Cykelspåret Väst (Western Cycle Route), and then continues northwards through Gothenburg, where it combines with the Cycle Route through Bohuslän as far as the Norwegian border.
