And since that time, Torgny and his staff have focused on turning Säröhus into a pure hotel and conference facility, which currently plays host to in the region of 20,000 conference guests each year.
Säröhus offers a wealth of opportunities for conference guests whose minds are on getting the job done. Its flexible personnel tailor meetings to guests’ needs. Säröhus is on the cutting edge in terms of technical equipment and has even invested in a diesel-powered power unit.
“If there should be a power outage, the unit switches itself on automatically after 11 seconds,” says Marianne Carlson, hotel manager at Säröhus. “This gives us a great sense of security, as we often accommodate guests from far and wide, as well as large groups. It would be a great shame if their meetings had to be cancelled because of a power cut,” she continues.
At Säröhus, there are 15 conference rooms and 15 group rooms. The largest room seats 150 people. The facility offers plenty of space for group work. Most rooms feature a balcony with sea view for those wishing to stretch their legs and enjoy the scenery. Also, massage chairs are available during breaks.
Säröhus offers 113 rooms, of which 4 are apartments for those looking for that little bit of extra luxury. The relaxation area features an indoor pool with 37-degree water, jacuzzis and a steam sauna.
During the summer when most companies are taking a break, Säröhus offers several attractive package deals for individuals.
“It’s great to see so many of our conference guests often returning as private guests at weekends and during the summer months. Also, many people who stay with us privately later book their conferences here.”
There’s no mistaking the fact that Säröhus has extensive experience when it comes to conferences. It’s always bustling with people. Almost all the conference rooms are full of enthusiastic conference delegates. Today, Säröhus is playing host to over 10 companies simultaneously.
