Visit the cartoon character “91:an” and his world

Garnisons- och Luftvärnsmuseet (garrison and anti-aircraft defence museum) has a unique collection of military curiosities. The museum is based on the traditions of the Västgöta-Dal regiment and the Halland regiment.

The museum focuses on the history of “conscript 91:an Karlsson”, the exhibition “Finland during WW 2”, military music and Bror Birger Emil Mörcke’s unique handwritten travel books. The Museum also includes the Armémuseum’s (army museum) collection of anti-aircraft defences.

Services and activities

Opening times: Thursdays 1-4 pm, 18 August 2011-15 December 2011, Tuesday-Sunday 1-4 pm, 28 June 2011-11 August 2011.

Admission: adults 40 SEK, youth under 18 years free admission.

Guided tours are also available at other times by booking.
The collection of anti-aircraft defences is on show to groups after special booking. Parking for coach. Café at Soldathemmet at certain hours and for groups after booking.

Directions

From the E6, take exit 45 Halmstad N. Follow Road 26 towards Halmstad. At the first roundabout, follow the signs for Försvarsmakten/regementsområdet. The museum is located outside the fenced-in area in the same building as Soldathemmet.
