The Tjolöholm estate covers a 700 hectare peninsula jutting out into the sea, a fabulous setting far from the stress and strain of city life yet with adventure and fun-packed activities on the doorstep.

Find love and tranquillity during a relaxing weekend in a traditional castle setting. Staying at the Tjolöholm Castle Hotel is not like checking into a normal hotel; instead, you are a guest of the manor, with the privacy of your very own house. Our guests are left to themselves, while the accommodation provides access to everything from a fully equipped kitchen to a separate garden.

The picturesque gatehouse is Tjolöholm's most exclusive accommodation. Furnished in turn of the century style, and complete with rustic kitchen, the gatehouse has an open fire in the living room and a four-poster bed and bathtub on the upper floor. The house also has its very own garden in the style of a quaint English cottage, with stunning views over the surrounding coastal landscape.

Three nights including breakfast in your own kitchen
When staying in the gatehouse you can choose between a romantic package, featuring champagne, fruit, and chocolates, or a package with luxury spa products, all compliments of Tjolöholm.
Juice and fresh fruit
Bath robes and flowers are included in both packages.

Weekend in Allmogebyn

Stay in Allmogebyn and experience the beautiful old workers' lodgings surrounded by farming landscape, shore meadows, and bays. Furnished in genuine national romantic style, the lodgings consist of a bedroom with four-poster bed and a traditional Swedish tiled fireplace, in addition to large living room containing a big dining area with fully equipped kitchen and ornamental wood burning stove.

Package includes:
Weekend – two nights with breakfast in your own kitchen

Price for 2012: 1495 SEK per person


You can also choose to stay for one night or one week.

Kayaking and a castle visit

This adventurous and historic kayaking trip runs along the Kungsbacka fjord and its many beautiful islands. Go ashore on the castle beach and enjoy coffee or lunch in a fantastic setting. The day ends with a tour of Tjolöholm Castle, one of Sweden’s most remarkable buildings.

The package includes:
Kayak, life jacket, paddle, cockpit cover., mushrooms, pump and nautical chart of the area
Run-through of the arrangements and an introduction to kayaks
Admission to the castle tour

Price for 2010: 450 SEK per person

The kayaking takes approx one hour, one way. Some kayaking experience is advisable. The package can be booked during the summer.

If you require an experienced guide, there is an extra charge of 250 SEK /person.
