Unique pearl by forest and lake
The farm, situated in the beautiful beech forest, dates back to the 14th century and is today a modern sheep farm with the whole chain from organic sheep breeding and slaughter, processing and meat shop to handicrafts made from sheep skins and café with restaurant.
Öströö offers guests a unique experience of gastronomy, history and fantastic nature with the sheep theme running as a red thread through the company. At Öströö you can go on a guided lamb safari among skipping lamb and shaggy cows, historical aquavit walking-tour, and enjoy a sheep show with sheep shearing.

Adventure
Öströö fårfarm (sheep farm) offers a fun and different experience for all ages, with guided lamb safaris among scampering lambs and shaggy cows in wonderful nature. Sheep show with shearing available for pre-booked groups.
Walking, cycling and riding
Öströö offers a historical snaps walk, giving you the chance to learn a little of the district’s cultural history and sample some flavoured snaps along the way.
Shops, food and drink
The farm’s own-produced lamb, sausages, pates and pies are available to buy, as well as accompaniments such as marinades, sauces, rusks and marmalades made to the farm's own recipes.
Tea and coffee for groups of 15-50 people can be served in the 18th-century snaps cellar.
In Café Fårhagen you can fill up on sandwiches or home-made buns and cakes, all washed down with organic coffee.
In the red cabin you will find soft, fleecy and warming articles in sheepskin, plus straw work.
